M-4 with Suppressor.
The M-4 is a compact version of the Vietnam-era M-16. I have mixed feelings about the M-16 family of rifles. They are lighter, more accurate and more controllable than AKs. However, they are inherently less reliable. The M-16/M-4’s direct impingement system vents explosive gases directly into the receiver, creating a lot of fouling that requires intensive maintenance. While diehards argue that the M-16/M-4 works well “if properly maintained,” the fact is that in a fluid battle area, downtime for maintenance is often an unaffordable luxury!
this post is quite cancerous with misinformation from an uneducated perspective of the AR15 platform as a whole. Those who have reblogged this without pointing out the bullshit are doing a disservice to themselves for regurgitating misinformation.
but I guess its a cool picture that the blog ripped from the internet
